My role: As a financial analyst, I maintain NDI’s budget, complete monthly reconciliations, track program costs, and assist my colleagues with domestic and overseas payments.
Why I find my work important: I find it incredibly fulfilling to have an impact on a portion of the University’s financial wellbeing. Additionally, study abroad and other internationalization efforts touch such a large population of our students; I appreciate that I can be involved in organizing these experiences for them.
Professional background: I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Notre Dame. While pursuing my degree, I tailored my coursework to concentrate on financial mathematics. After graduation, I worked at Fidelity Investments in Chicago as an actuarial associate within Fidelity’s Benefits Consulting group. I joined NDI as a financial analyst in February 2016.
My favorite place: Notre Dame, of course! As an undergraduate, I set a goal that I would never take this campus for granted. Since then, I've made an effort to say a prayer of gratitude every time I walk past the Dome. I love to take advantage of the wonderful things this campus has to offer—the Grotto, the running trails around the lake, football games, hockey games, fitness classes, the Basilica, to name a few.
About me: I am very passionate about education and mathematics. Most evenings, I spend my time tutoring local high school math students. Although I don't feel called to a teaching profession, I really enjoy working in an educational setting.
