Location: Rome Global Gateway

October 21-23, 2015

This invited symposium will bring Italian and U.S. scholars together to examine, critique, and build on each other's knowledge on issues related to how to manage increasing numbers of unauthorized immigrants. Scholars of migration with expertise in the politics, policy-making, cultural production, religious practice, history, and social incorporation of immigrants in each of their respective countries will write essays from their specific areas of research with a focus on lessons learned that are important for other countries to consider.  Sponsored by the Institute for Latino Studies.
