My role: I provide necessary operational and project support to keep NDI functioning. This includes processing financial transactions, planning and preparing for international delegations, and offering domestic support to faculty and staff working abroad.
Why I find my work important: Intercultural exchange is an invaluable part of higher education. Learning about different countries and cultures through firsthand experience in an academic setting develops greater global understanding. I am grateful to be able to play a role in this process.
Professional background: While pursuing my degree at Saint Mary’s College, I had the privilege of completing internships with Senator Joe Donnelly and the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. Post-college, I spent the majority of my professional life working in retail management. Most recently, I served as a field organizer for the Indiana Democratic Party.
My favorite place: The Tidal Basin when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom and the National Mall at night, in Washington, D.C.
About me: I find joy in Broadway musicals, NPR, and my miniature labradoodle, Tilly. In my free time, I enjoy seeking out feminist speakers, staying active in local politics, and growing my book collection.
