My role: As business manager, I steward NDI’s business operations including budget and forecasting, international banking, procurement, payroll, and human resources.
Why I find my work important: I find it incredibly fulfilling to have an impact on a portion of the University’s financial wellbeing. Additionally, study abroad and other internationalization efforts touch such a large population of our students; I appreciate that I can be involved in organizing these experiences for them.
Professional background: I am a 2014 graduate of Notre Dame’s College of Science. While pursuing my undergraduate degree in mathematics, I successfully completed two actuarial examinations. Prior to joining NDI in early 2016, I worked as an actuarial associate for Fidelity Investment’s Benefits Consulting Group in Chicago. During my time with Fidelity Investments, I consulted on both defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans. I am currently enrolled in Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, intending to complete my Master of Science in Finance in December 2018.
My favorite place: Notre Dame, of course! As an undergraduate, I set a goal that I would never take this campus for granted. Since then, I've made an effort to say a prayer of gratitude every time I walk past the Dome. I love to take advantage of the wonderful things this campus has to offer—the Grotto, the running trails around the lake, football games, hockey games, fitness classes, the Basilica, to name a few.
About me: Outside the office, I enjoy various crafts such as knitting, sewing, restoring furniture, hand-lettering, and calligraphy. I spend most of the year counting down the days to my favorite holiday, Christmas.
