Academic Program Director, American Short-Term Programs
As the Academic Program Director of the Global Engagement Programs, Amber Li manages all the incoming summer and customized programs at Notre Dame International, including pre-college programs for international high school students, undergraduate research programs, short programs tailored for partner universities, etc. Such short-term programs provide many alternative opportunities for international students to experience the renowned Notre Dame campus, culture, and academics. Amber also teaches the Intercultural Communication and the American Campus seminar to incoming visiting and exchange international students.
Amber started her career in international education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln while pursuing her M.A. degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. After graduating in 2012, she then worked at Sam Houston State University in Texas as their International Student Recruiter and Short-term Program Coordinator. She then joined Notre Dame International in summer 2015. Amber is bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English.
