Brian Flaherty

Brian Flaherty was appointed senior director for financial operations and administration in July 2021. As part of a shared services model with other divisions on campus, Flaherty reports to the Finance Division but is located in the NDI office. In this role, he serves on the NDI leadership team and is responsible for supporting NDI’s business and financial operations including international banking, procurement, and budget and forecasting.

Prior to this role, Flaherty served in the Graduate School where, as director of budget and operations, and then strategic initiatives program director, he was responsible for the financial management, operations, and development and implementation of a variety of strategic projects. His first role at Notre Dame was director of finance and administration in the School of Architecture.

Before coming to Notre Dame, Flaherty worked at Honeywell as an engineer and program manager for multiple military aircraft programs. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana University South Bend and a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
