My role: The content strategist position is truly an innovative role within Notre Dame International. I discover, develop and write stories about NDI’s work around the world. I also partner with other Notre Dame colleges and divisions to collaborate and share these rich and diverse stories across several platforms. The role of storyteller is important to help ensure that Notre Dame is a part of the conversation when it comes to international education, research and engagement.
Professional background: Prior to working at Notre Dame, I worked in television news as an anchor, reporter and special projects producer. My focus was primarily on long-form storytelling and documentaries. In 2016, I received an Emmy award from the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. While most of my career was spent discovering stories across the country, I also worked in several roles as a communications and media relations professional for various industries including healthcare and engineering. I have a master’s degree in public relations from Ball State University.
My favorite place: Crater Lake in Oregon. This national park got its namesake from a collapsed volcano and it’s the deepest lake in America. I recommend putting this on your bucket list!
