Felipe Gomez

As the program manager of Notre Dame Santiago, Felipe Gomez is in charge of overseeing the operation of ND Santiago with regards to the coordination, monitoring and assessment of all student programming initiatives run in Santiago, including study abroad, summer, internship and research programs for Notre Dame undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, Gomez works collaboratively with several teams from Notre Dame Global as well as Notre Dame faculty and staff, to ensure that initiatives run by Notre Dame in Chile and Latin America are followed accordingly.

While an undergraduate at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC), Gomez spent two years studying and working in Uppsala, Sweden. As a result of this experience, Felipe became a passionate advocate of and professional in the areas of international education, second language acquisition, cultural immersion and international relations.

Gomez has also served as the coordinator of the international department at an intellectual property law firm, and worked as a tutor for international students at CIEE (Council for International Exchange Education) in Chile. He holds a Bachelor's degree in English literature and linguistics and a certification diploma in the teaching of Spanish as a second language, both from PUC. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's of Nonprofit Administration from Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business. Felipe is fluent in English, Spanish, and Swedish.
