Academic Program Director, American Short-Term Programs
My role: I manage all the incoming short-term programs at Notre Dame International, including summer programs for high school, undergraduate, and professional students, and semester/year-long visiting and exchange programs.
Why I find my work important: I believe in the power of any eye-opening experience, and studying abroad is one of such experience that benefits us for life. Our short-term programs provide many alternative opportunities for international students to experience the wonderful Notre Dame campus, culture, and academics.
Professional background: I started my career in international education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln while pursuing my M.A. there in journalism and mass communications. After graduating in 2012, I worked at Sam Houston State University in Texas for almost three years, then joined Notre Dame International in 2015. I am bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English.
My favorite place: I love traveling and I hope I can always be on the journey of finding my favorite places. So far, Dry Tortugas National Park in the Gulf of Mexico (west of Key West) is the most beautiful and cleanest place I have ever been. Outside of the States, I want to go back to Tokyo from time to time!
About me: Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my families and friends! I enjoy all the travel planning as well. I also love exploring food from all cultures and regions.
