Jo Byrne

Jo Byrne has worked at the London Global Gateway in several different communications and events roles since 2017 and was appointed Associate Director of Communications and Engagement in 2021. In this role, she leads the communications and events team, developing and implementing strategic communications, outreach and engagement. As well as overseeing communications, she is responsible for the promotion, marketing and operational delivery of events in London.

Previously, Jo has worked as the Communications Manager, and before that has held other events and communications related roles at the Gateway. Outside of her work at the Gateway, Jo has worked in knowledge exchange and impact for social care research, and has held communications roles at universities and charities.

Jo holds a BA in French and English Literature, and has spent time living in France, Australia and New Zealand prior to joining the Gateway. In her spare time she enjoys cooking food from different areas of the world, gardening or looking after her house plants.
