International Student Advisor
Advises F-1 Students: Last Names A-L
My role: I am a resource for international students and scholars as they transition from their home countries to life at Notre Dame. As an advisor, I assist our students in maintaining compliance with visa regulations as well as connecting them to additional resources on campus.
Why I find my work important: Our students are experiencing one of the most transformative times in their lives, and they are doing it away from home, often using a second language. A robust support system is critical for their success. I am proud to represent a global institution and serve on the frontlines for our students as they further their education and transition to life in the U.S.
Professional background: My career in higher education started with an internship in the Office of the Provost at Purdue University. I worked alongside the director of summer session and members of Purdue’s marketing team to strategize the university’s next big push, an admissions initiative called Think Summer. Little did I know, this would become my passion.
My first home at Notre Dame was in an admissions role with the Stayer Center for Executive Education, part of the Mendoza College of Business. I worked exclusively with incoming graduate students in Notre Dame's working professionals programs located at our Chicago campus. In ISSA, I will be working primarily with undergraduates.
I hold bachelors degrees in management and French from Purdue University. I am currently enrolled in an intercultural management certificate program offered through the Mendoza College of Business.
My favorite place: I'd have to flip a coin: Au Brasseur, a restaurant famous for tarte flambée in Strasbourg, France, or Parc de la Ciutadella, home to an extravagant fountain in Barcelona, Spain.
About me: Outside of NDI, I fill my time with yoga classes at the Duncan Student Center, endless reruns of Gilmore Girls, and a growing stack of books on leadership, workplace motivation, and cultural awareness.
