Lizzie Mikes Henningfeld

Lizzie Mikes Henningfeld was promoted to Associate Director of Financial Operations & Administration in 2019, after previously serving as program coordinator within Notre Dame International (NDI).

As Associate Director of Financial Operations & Administration, Mikes Henningfeld is responsible for assisting in the financial planning and global business operations of NDI. She collaborates with the Senior Director of Financial Operations and Administration and international finance colleagues throughout the University’s global network to create, manage and report on the annual operating budget for NDI. She also serves as the business manager for on-campus units within NDI, and liaises with other divisions and departments by providing logistical and financial operations support to multiple programs and individuals.

In her work as Program Coordinator, Mikes Henningfeld supported many of her colleagues at NDI, which included oversight of contracts for programs and international employees and delegations and special events planning. Mikes Henningfeld has also been involved with other special projects and is a systems expert for her colleagues in TravelND and other university finance management systems. She came to NDI from Fighting Irish Media in May 2016. Mikes

Henningfeld holds a Bachelors degree in sports, entertainment and event management from Johnson & Wales University, and an Associates degree from the Culinary Institute of America in culinary arts. She is a current member of the Notre Dame Athletics Fan Council, and a board member of Thrive!, the Notre Dame women’s employee resource group.

Mikes Henningfeld has a strong family connection to the University as the eldest child of two Notre Dame alumni (Patrick and Barbara) and proud sister to two brothers who attended the University (Patrick Jr. and Andrew). Mom, Barbara, was a 1979 Fulbright Scholar, while father Patrick studied abroad in the Innsbruck, Austria program. Her sister-in-law (also named Lizzy) is a graduate of the Notre Dame Law School, and her husband Brent’s family is from South Bend.
