My role: I provide organizational and logistical support to the many facets of our department in addition to promoting on-campus, NDI-hosted events. My primary responsibilities include assisting the executive administrator and international delegations coordinator in her role and NDI Leadership, and providing operational support for all internationally-based NDI staff.
Why I find my work important: My role is a service and support position; the tasks and projects that I work on directly benefit and help others to be successful in their roles. I enjoy event planning and multi-tasking in program management, especially in hospitality-focused initiatives.
Professional background: In my previous role in Fighting Irish Media in the Athletics department, I oversaw credential management and production for all 26 Fighting Irish varsity sports teams, coordinated all press box hospitality operations, and was the athletic communications director for men’s and women’s swimming and diving. I briefly served as the communications director for fencing and track and field during my four-year tenure in Athletics, in addition to managing the Fighting Irish Media – Athletic Communications student assistant workforce.
Before coming to Notre Dame, I worked in the Johnson & Wales University student conduct office as an administrative assistant, and was active within my sorority, Alpha Sigma Tau. In addition to holding multiple chapter leadership positions, I was elected to the school’s Greek Council as recording secretary. During my two-year term on the council, I was instrumental in reorganizing the council’s bylaws and other governing documents.
I am a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, having received my bachelors degree in sports, entertainment and event management while minoring in sports marketing. I attended the North Miami, FL campus after previously receiving my associates degree in culinary arts from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY.
My favorite place: I have several, ranging from my best friend’s house on Cass Lake, MI; Frankenmuth, MI; Washington, D.C., and the state of Minnesota – except in winter.
About me: I was born in Golden Valley, MN, and am the eldest child of two Notre Dame alums, Patrick and Barbara. I have two younger brothers, Pat Jr. and Andrew. My mom was a 1979 Fulbright Scholar at the University, and Andrew is a current Notre Dame student studying chemical engineering. In my free time, I enjoy putting my culinary degree to good use by entertaining family and friends.
While born outside Minneapolis, I was raised in Troy, MI, and enjoy cheering on both Detroit and Minnesota sports teams equally – but I favor the Red Wings (NHL) and Vikings (NFL) as my two favorite professional teams. I reside in Mishawaka, IN, and share a home with my fiancé and two cavalier king charles spaniels named Elsa and Kaner. My favorite season is fall because of the beautiful nature scenes on campus and the excitement surrounding Notre Dame athletic teams.
