Renato Mejia

Director of Global Engagement Programs

Renato Mejia serves as the Director of Global Engagement Programs at Notre Dame International (NDI). In his role, he leads the Global Engagement Programs team, manages the Notre Dame International short-term programs, increases the University’s recognition across the globe, develops and implements international marketing and recruitment strategies, and diversifies the University’s international student population. Renato also works collaboratively with the Notre Dame International staff, its Global Gateways and Centers, and Notre Dame’s global partners to support the University’s internationalization efforts and global strategy.

Before coming to Notre Dame, Renato was the Director of Strategic Marketing at Andrews University, with extensive experience in international recruitment and marketing. Renato holds an MBA from Andrews University and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Carabobo, Venezuela. He is bilingual and has more than ten years of experience in higher education.

Having been an international student himself, Renato loves making a difference in international students’ lives and enjoys working in a diverse and multicultural environment. Prior to coming to the U.S., he lived in Venezuela and Colombia.
