Why did you opt to serve as a Senior Fellow for Internationalization?
I feel that there is a lack of multicultural awareness on campus and I want to be part of changing that.
Talk about your international experiences and why they are important. How have they served you (academically, personally, professionally, etc).
International experiences are important because our own limited life and experiences give us only a sliver of what our diverse world has to offer us. From my international experiences I have been able to enjoy new foods, music, and entertainment, learn about different histories and cultures, and also understand the diverse experiences, approaches, and attitudes people have in life.
Why do you think it's important to focus on internationalization at the University of Notre Dame?
There is a lack of diversity at Notre Dame so it’s even more important for us to celebrate the diversity we do have.
