Travis Shank

As an Assistant Director for Study Abroad, Travis advises students seeking international education experiences through each stage of the study abroad process. He primarily manages programs based in Asia.

Travis earned a BA in Psychology from the Ohio State University and an MA in Higher Education Administration from the University of Cincinnati. Prior to working in higher education in the United States, he worked for 10 years as a teacher, program coordinator, and manager in the international education field, holding positions at companies and universities in South Korea, Vietnam, and Japan. He also earned a CELTA teaching certificate from the University of Cambridge while in Ho Chi Minh City and completed a 3-month intensive Japanese language course in Sapporo.

Through his own experiences living, working, and studying abroad, Travis has developed a passion for helping students find meaningful and beneficial encounters with other cultures.
