Feathers from the Angel's Wing
Join us on June 14 for a celebration and exploration of this anthology of poems inspired by the paintings of Piero della Francesca. Extraordinary contemporary writers from around the world write in response to Piero's transcendent paintings located along the 'Piero Trail.' We will look at some images, talk about what moves poets to grapple with Piero's work, and listen to readings of a selection of poems from the book. Commentary by historians, art historians, and the writers themselves will lend understanding to this phenomenon of Poets as Guides and Piero's Parnassus.
