The University of Notre Dame and the Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest are pleased to present a photographic depiction of Papal visits to the Holy Land. Forty-four photographs of four visits by Pope Paul VI, Pope John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI, and Pope Francis are included in the exhibition at the Hesburgh Library on the Notre Dame campus, September 6 through December 9, 2017.

This exhibition and the partnership between the University of Notre Dame and the Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest represents a response to the Pope’s calling to “reflect deeply on the significance of the Jewish roots of our own faith” and to seek “mutual understanding of our spiritual heritage” (from the Address of Pope Francis on May 26, 2014, in Jerusalem).
