Notre Dame International (NDI) is launching a new program to expand the number of guest scholars/artists from Asia, at the University. In addition, NDI is separately providing funding to build, sustain, and encourage academic and research collaboration with universities in Asia. These programs are listed below.
Asia Guest Scholar/Artist Partnership Program
Notre Dame International is pleased to announce the Asia Guest Scholar/Artist Partnership Program. The goal of this program is to partner with on-campus centers/institutes/departments in bringing to Notre Dame guest scholars and artists from Asia with outstanding reputations in their field. During the visit, the guest scholar/artist would pursue their own research/art and discuss future collaborations, while engaging in the intellectual/artistic life and community at Notre Dame.
Asia Research Collaboration Grant
Through the generous support of University benefactors, Notre Dame International is providing funding to build, sustain, and encourage academic and research collaboration (research projects, faculty and graduate student exchange, conferences, seminars, etc.) with universities in Asia. Funding is allocated for proposals that involve research collaborations with universities in China, Hong Kong, India and Taiwan. This grant program supports the University’s broader strategy to promote academic cooperation in Asia by building upon existing partnerships and creating new opportunities for research and scholarly exchange.
