The Hong Kong Global Center was established in 2014 and supports Notre Dame’s initiatives in Asia. Hong Kong, as a key hub in Asia, enables cooperation with corporate and institutional partners to expand the international reach of Notre Dame's faculty and students. The Notre Dame Club in Hong Kong has a long history and actively supports the Notre Dame community in Hong Kong.
As director of the Hong Kong Global Center, Catherine Leung works closely with international admissions, global advancement, the Alumni Association, and a range of academic departments. Leung develops relationships with local high schools, universities, government agencies, NGOs, and corporations.
Over the past two years, Leung organized the first Notre Dame Global Forum in Hong Kong and founded the Notre Dame Parents Associations in Shanghai and Beijing. She has also established summer internships for undergraduate students in Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Notre Dame, Leung led offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong as the director of University of Southern California (USC) in China for 12 years. She managed a wide range of university operations in Asia, devoting herself to serving students and their parents, alumni, donors, and friends of USC.
