The Notre Dame Kylemore Abbey Global Centre Residency Programs provide the opportunity for an eclectic range of artistic, musical, dance, business, and writing initiatives to grow and flourish in the beauty and tranquility of Connemara. Open registration to these programs invite living, learning and communing in a setting that is inspirational. Residents can establish connections with peers in their field by participating in tailored programs housed in the Global Centre, a facility featuring classroom, dining, and social space located on the grounds of the Kylemore Abbey Estate. These value-driven programs, created by and with master's of their trade, will allow for creativity, insight and deep reflection with focused concentration. The goal of these programs is to produce innovative work that will positively impact others in a variety of disciplines that serve the greater good of humanity.

Programs include:

En Plein Air Program: Join painters Jaclyn Dooner & Simón Ramírez for a unique two week landscape painting and drawing workshop designed to create a vibrant, cultural, educational and spiritual experience. Learn key painting and drawing techniques: color relationships, light and shadow, perspective drawing, and other essentials for capturing nature.

Galway Master Class Program Kylemore

Galway Master Class Program - Music Course: Travel to Ireland next summer and work with the legend Sir James Galway for a 5 Day Residential Program at the Notre Dame Kylemore Abbey Global Centre. This unique opportunity offers flautists of all abilities the chance to participate in a supportive residential environment with Master Classes .

Jean Butler Dance Poster D11 Kylemore

Jean Butler Choreographs Connemara: A week-long immersion into Irish culture, dance and music at the University of Notre Dame Kylemore Abbey Global Centre. Open to all Notre Dame undergraduates with an interest in Irish dance and culture, dancing experience not necessary! Dates for the program are June 3 - 10, 2018.
