International students from around the world, whether in high school or college, now have many opportunities to study abroad at the University of Notre Dame. Notre Dame International offers a variety of short-term programs for international students. These programs provide an opportunity for students to experience a world-class education on the beautiful campus of Notre Dame.
During the summer, our iLED and iSPI programs provide hands-on and intensive academic, cultural, and leadership experiences for high school students. Students in these programs work directly with Notre Dame faculty in the classrooms and laboratories, and go on academic and cultural excursions outside of the classrooms. Our iSURE program allows college students to do research under the mentorship of Notre Dame professors in research labs and facilities.
During the semester, international students can enroll at Notre Dame as study abroad students for a semester or an academic year under either the Undergraduate Exchange Program or the American Semester Abroad Program (ASAP). Both are credit-bearing programs that allow international students to enroll full-time as visiting international students. Students receive official Notre Dame transcripts upon completion of the program.
"As a leading global university in the twenty-first century, the University of Notre Dame is committed to bringing international students to enrich our campus and actively participate in our vibrant intellectual community. We invite you to learn and experience firsthand why Notre Dame is such a special place. Whether you will be here for a year, a semester, or a few weeks, we welcome you."--Michael Pippenger, Vice President and Associate Provost for Internationalization
