Beijing, a thriving metropolis rich in history, culture, commerce and political influence, is home to Notre Dame’s Global Gateway to Asia. The Beijing Global Gateway, along with its regional network of Global Centers in Hong Kong and Mumbai, supports the University’s commitment to internationalize Notre Dame’s academic engagements throughout Asia to promote understanding, increase exchange, and address issues to serve the common good. These partnerships in mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand serve as the foundations for a broad range of academic programs focused on expanding understanding, exchange, and cooperation.
Notre Dame’s Beijing Global Gateway is located in the heart of the Chaoyang Embassy district and in close proximity to the Central Business District (CBD). Many foreign embassies, government offices, international organizations, and multinational firms are within a few miles of the Beijing Global Gateway.
The Beijing Global Gateway is advised by two important committees. The Faculty Advisory Committee guides the Gateway’s academic programming. The Steering Committee, listed below, advises on the Gateway’s sustainable development and community impact.
