How do you show your culture at ND?
Everyone has a culture that shapes who they are. Whether it involves their background, ethnicity, family history, or personal experience, there is always a cultural element that influences their identity or how they live.
This is your chance to share your culture with the ND community. How do you preserve and take pride in your own culture while on campus at Notre Dame? Show us by taking a photo and submitting it with a caption that shares how you incorporate your cultural identity into your life at ND.
Eligibility
All Notre Dame undergraduate students are eligible to participate in this contest. All photos must be taken at Notre Dame.

Deadline extended to May 2, 2021
Prizes
The winner of each category will receive a hand-crafted item from Irish Woodworks.
An additional Grand Prize Winner will be chosen out of all submissions and will receive prize package from Irish Woodworks.
Photo Submission Guidelines
Photos submitted should capture the heart of the "Show Your Culture" theme. Participants can submit up to three different photos (one submission per category) for consideration under each of the following categories:
- most true to theme
- most unique/creative
- most aesthetically pleasing
Each photo submission should be accompanied by a caption (no longer than a paragraph) explaining how the photo fits the category
Judging Criteria
Submissions will be judged by a team of ND Global Senior Fellows and ND faculty, taking into consideration how well the photo and it's caption fits the theme as well as the photo's technical, visual, and creative components.
Submission Requirements
In submitting photos to the contest, you agree that NDG may use them for commercial, promotional, or display purposes without further permissions, conditions, or compensation.
- The content of your images must be in accordance with the University's code of conduct.
- Submit ORIGINAL high-resolution photos.
- Color photos are preferred, but black and white photos will be considered.
- Make sure people in the photos have given permission for you to take their image AND have it published on social media, in NDG print publications, and other media outlets.
