Christopher Baker serves as Rector of the Villa, Notre Dame’s student residence in Rome. As the living-learning community’s chief administrator, he is responsible for the well-being and safety of Villa residents. In his role, he strives to create an environment that fosters the moral and intellectual growth of all ND students in Rome. Chris has served as both the Assistant Rector and the Associate Rector of the Villa in years past.

Originally from Louisiana, Chris earned his bachelor's degree in the liberal arts from Wyoming Catholic College and his licentiate in philosophy from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. He is the founder of Altum L'alto Pilgrimages and serves as the director and an academic instructor for the Western Pilgrimage through Thomas More College. Chris is a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
