Prior to joining the Office of Study Abroad at Notre Dame International, Jessica taught Mandarin Chinese, led student trips to Mainland China, and served as the inaugural Director of Diversity and Intercultural Life at Culver Academies, a boarding school in northern Indiana. Before arriving at Culver, Jessica worked for three years in higher education administration at Marietta College. She graduated from Davidson College with a B.A. in Spanish, and then completed an M.A. in Chinese Language at Indiana University Bloomington. Jessica’s study abroad experiences in Spain and China have been some of the most formative in her life, and she is passionate about ensuring Notre Dame students have the same opportunities to pursue the lifelong process of intercultural learning and engagement.
Jessica is an avid reader and can be found with a book in hand whether traveling or spending a quiet weekend at home with her cats and partner. She also enjoys dancing, live music, and Chinese cuisine.
